Please forgive me, I must be out of the loop. I've heard some people mention it, but I've never heard of it. What is it, what does it entail and who is eligible?

Any decent preparer will have done this for you, if not you should check your previous tax returns and you may be eligible for more if your child was born in previous years. It basically takes $ 1000 per child off of your tax liability. If you owe $ 6000 in taxes and have two children then you only owe $ 4000 in taxes. And if you paid 6 thousand through your employer deductions then you will recieve $ 2000 as a refund.

Its more of a matter of opinion than a statement of fact.So many things in the statement are subjective which allows it to be taken apart in many ways.

Also, "amazing what you can accomplish" could be a negative view too.

Different people have different views on accomplishment. If YOU do thee work for the outcome, why would someone else get the credit?

I've always paid my mortgage and rent but about one year ago I had a period of bad credit with charge cards only. I'm hoping to rent in an apartment complex, by myself. Will I have problems and what can I expect? Will this be impossible?

I have horrible credit from constant late payments and even a charge off, but I always paid my rent on time and I still managed to buy a house two years ago with the bad credit. there are mitigating circumstances. as long as you can actually afford to pay for what you want to buy (meaning the mortgage is within your means) the mortgage companies will work with you. worst case scenario, you get a much higher interest rate. but hey-you will get to buy the house. ps- I live in a suburb of atlanta, so yes, it's doable.

I have to answer to this question for my class, but I don't have any info about credit card problems. I hope you guys can help me.

1) You take a VCR for repair to stop white lines that appear when you record at slow speed. You pay $ 89 for the repaor with your credit card. Three days laterthe same problem appears. You take the VCR back to the repair shop, but they tell you it is a new problem and will cost another $ 90 to fix. They refuse to refund the $ 89 for the first "repair." What do you do?

Call the Credit Card company, A CC Compnay will refund your money and contest the service for you with the vendor. That is one benefit of purchasing on your CC. Then find a new VCR repair man
