it means fig
“Fico” literally means “Fig” as in the fruit, but in slang or colloquial Italian it can also mean “cool” or “great”
This word has two meanings.
It can mean fig-tree (the fruit), or it can be used in an expression similar to “I don’t care a fig” = “Non me ne importa un fico”.
Also, it can be used in colloquial expressions, with the meaning of “cool”. Ex: E’ un fico! He’s cool!
“fico” means cool.
not as well. but why you don’t have a yahoo ID?
Fico means fig it is pretty easy for me to understand italian. Good question though
I speak italian because… I’m italian!
“Fico!” means “cool!” for a thing, and “good looking/pretty” for a guy. Not for a girl because fico end with the letter “o”, so it’s an only masculine word.
Normally “fico” is the name of a fruit, the fig, but this word is more used for other purposes.
I hope I’ve teached you something. Bye.
Right answers above.
the fruit, as noun;
great/cool, as adjective;
I just add some etymology details.
At the end of XIX century, the italian gentleman Ficolino Paolino (Fico for his friends) became Donna Letizia Moraddi’s boyfriend. Given that Donna Letizia was popular as the most beautiful woman of the nation (the king himself had felt in love with her), Fico became soon as popular as she was. From that his short name became an adjective, to mean “great”, “cool”.
