AC is not working the same after “repair.”?

Question by skyblueyou: AC is not working the same after “repair.”?
I had a clown put in a new kompressor in my AC wall unit. It’s clearly not as cool as it used to be. He “could not read the part number” after he put it in. This makes me wonder…..
Should I demand they come back here and get the exact kompressor for this wall unit? I feel I am being ripped off. I’m going to put a hold on my credit card until I’m satisfied.

Why you paid to have a compressor replaced in a window banger is beyond me. It’s cheaper to buy a brand new, better efficency unit.

On to your question, you paid for something and it should work correctly when the job is done. I would call them back and give them a chance to correct the problem.

to be honest. it’s cheaper and fast to actually pull your own credit report and do it yourself.

take care of the little items first, pay them off whole.

if you have other debt over a few thousands, negotiate a lower price and make montly payments that way they can send in notification to the agencies that you are paying.

it can take you about 3-6 months to do this. the same amount of time one of those companies can do it and they charge an arm and a leg, sometimes other body parts, too.

Do those “credit repair” places really increase credit scores?

Question by Erin B: Do those “credit repair” places really increase credit scores?
are they legit, and if yes, do they help much at all? How long do they take to do whatever theyre going to do ?

The only things that those so called credit repair places do is dispute each and every single negative item on your file regardless of whether or not it’s valid. You can do that yourself for free.

Q&A: Has anyone used those “credit repair” agencies?

Question by ceharris81: Has anyone used those “credit repair” agencies?

You can’t pay anyone to remove accurate negative info……don’t waste your money.

It is virtually impossible to have a charged-off credit card account deleted from your credit reports because even if the collection agency removes the item from your credit report, the original credit card company will still continue to report the charge-off for the 7 years and you’ll be stuck with bad credit after all the effort.

You may be able to negotiate the complete removal of non credit card debts like defaulted cell, medical, utility bills etc. with a Pay for Delete agreement. This is a written agreement where you get a signed agreement from the debt collector (PRIOR to making any payment) where they offer to remove the negative items from your credit files after an agreed-to amount is paid. They will NOT want to do this….all they want is your money and their commission and they could not care less about your credit rating….Still, you have something they want (money) and that puts you in a position to negotiate on this issue. Example letter:

I am willing to resolve this issue if your firm sends me a written agreement that you will remove all negative notations from my credit report after the agreed-to amount is paid to you. Upon receipt of this letter I will mail you a USPS money order for this amount.
———————————-
Again, they are not going to want to do this…if they simply refuse to remove it, then you want to negotiate that they will update your credit report to “Paid in Full.” . You DO NOT want them to put “settled” on your credit report, as that’s a negative factor…..If they refuse to remove the item from your credit report, then be sure to get the lowest, rock bottom settlement you can get…like 25%….Remember, get all terms IN WRITING PRIOR to paying….not after. Never give debt collectors your checking account numbers for payment.
